Hello! We Rebecca Ann Taulton and Julio C. Olvera the Community and School Liaisons would like to welcome you to Mexia Independent School District!
Our aim is to continue to keep the community informed about events pertaining to the Mexia schools. We are also here to assist you with any questions, or concerns that you might have about your schools. If we don’t know the answer, we will look for it!
Mexia School District currently has six schools, Mexia High School, Mexia Junior High, School Of Choice, Developmental Center, R. Q. Sims Intermediate and A. B. McBay Elementary. All schools are located in Mexia, Texas, and they are all within walking distance of each other. There is bus transportation to these schools for students that live within a 2 mile radius, or that may live in a hazardous area (South side of Milam, or over the bridge on Milam.)

Hola, como representantes del distrito escolar queremos darle la bienvenida a las escuelas de Mexia.
Nuestro enfoque es mantener a la comunidad informada sobre todos los asuntos que tengan que ver con todas las escuelas de Mexia. También estamos disponibles para asistirle con cualquier duda o preocupación que usted tenga sobre las escuelas. Le aseguramos que si no tenemos la respuesta nosotros nos comprometemos a buscarla.
El distrito escolar de Mexia cuenta con seis escuelas, la preparatoria (MHS), la secundaria (MJH), la Escuela Suplementaria, Centro de Desarrollo, la primaria (R.Q. Sims Intermediate), la primaria y kínder (A.B. McBay). Todas estas escuelas están ubicadas en Mexia y se concentran casi en la misma zona. El autobús está disponible para uso si usted vive por lo menos a una distancia de dos millas alrededor. El transporte escolar también es disponible si usted vive en una zona peligrosa como cerca de las vías del tren o cerca del puente.

Students will receive some handouts and other information that they can keep. To help the students practice these life skills, parents will be asked to review the handouts and discuss activities with their children.
