Welcome to the Mexia Independent School District. We are glad that you have taken the time to visit our website.  We hope that you like what you see here and will come visit us in person. This year the Mexia Independent School District will continue to embrace the last line of our school song as our theme, "We're the True Defenders of the Crimson and the Black". As a district we are facing challenging times as we struggle with the problems of school finance, declining enrollment and a new state accountability program.  We all must be united as a staff, as family members and as a community to defend the “Crimson and the Black.”  We would love for you to come and be a part of this movement!
